There isn't one right topper. There are four.
No memory foam by default. No "medium" as a compromise. Each construction is engineered for a different kind of body and a different kind of sleeper. The quiz routes you to the one your body will actually thank.

Pressure-relief memory
Slow-response gel-infused foam. For side-sleepers and joint-pressure complaints. Cooler than traditional memory by twelve degrees.

Latex core, phase-change cover, micro-coil ventilation. For very hot sleepers and warm bedrooms. The technical one.

003 / The science
By two former sleep researchers.
We built Veil & Pillow because we'd spent years watching study subjects struggle on the wrong surface. The fix wasn't always a new mattress. The fix was usually a topper, but a specific one, chosen for the specific body. The market wasn't doing that. So we did.
The founders
Anya Patel & Jordan Vasey
PhDs in sleep medicine and psychophysiology. Met at a London sleep lab in 2021. Left to build a product market for what the research already knew.
The lab origin
Twelve hundred sleep studies
The research the founders ran between 2018 and 2022. The matching algorithm at the centre of our quiz is calibrated from this dataset, not from generic mattress data.

If your mattress is older than ten years or genuinely failed, a topper won't fix it. We'll tell you that, on the phone, before you order.

Will it work on my existing mattress?
If your mattress is six years old or younger and not visibly sagging, almost certainly. If it's older than ten years, a topper will help but may not fully fix the problem. The quiz asks about your mattress; we'll tell you straight if you'd be better served by replacing the mattress first.
What if I get my match wrong?
You have one hundred nights to try it. We collect it for free from anywhere in mainland UK if it's wrong. Ninety-two per cent of customers keep their first match. The eight per cent who switch usually move from the memory configuration to the latex, or vice-versa.
How is this different from a memory foam topper from Dunelm?
Construction-grade materials, OEKO-TEX certified, matched specifically to your body and sleeping position rather than sold as one-size-fits-all. The Dunelm topper is roughly thirty pounds. Ours is six times that. The difference is in how long it stays comfortable.
Do you offer any sustainability credentials?
Wool cradle uses British-sourced wool. Latex is FSC-certified sustainable rubber tree. Memory and cooling hybrid are recycled-polyester covers with CertiPUR-EU foams. Toppers are designed to last seven to ten years. Carbon impact published on the product page.
